Shape the Emotional Landscape of Your Book with Early Insights

I consider myself a “pre-editor.” I listen to completed manuscripts while reading it at the same time. That allows me to catch a lot of typos and weird sentence structures that your brain automatically ‘fixes’ if you were reading silently. If you have character sheets (for LitRPG) I’ll make sure your math is correct from level to level. Also, if you have specific things you want me to look for while reading let me know and I’ll keep them in mind.

With me, you can expect…

  • No nonsense pricing: $99 for non-LitRPG, $149 for stories including character sheets and math.
  • Fresh Perspective: New eyes, free from author bias or familiarity
  • Emotional Resonance: Identify where your story hits and if you’re striking the right feelings
  • Identify Areas for Improvement: Point out sections that might need more development, clarity, or emotional depth
  • Offer Honest Feedback: Provide sincere reactions and opinions without the pressure of a professional critique
  • Boost Author Confidence: Positive feedback to affirm the strengths of the manuscript and encourage the author

Improve Your Polish and Professionalism

I’m not here to change your story. I’m here to give you the best feedback I can based on the book you wrote. You won’t offend me one iota if you decline my suggested edits, if you don’t think it enhances your story.

Job details: $450 for 75k words or less. I work in Google Docs with a 7-14 day turnaround, schedule permitting. Rush jobs accepted upon request for an additional fee. Contact me and I will provide a free chapter edit as a sample of my work and a more complete rate sheet as needed. I reserve the right to refuse service if I feel my services won’t be a good fit for your work, after reading your sample chapter.

With me, you can expect improvements on…

  • Clarity and readability
  • Continuity and lapses in logic
  • Continuity in POV
  • Accuracy for action: wounds, weapons, and firearms expertise
  • Style choices and awkward phrasing
  • Word selection and repetition
  • Spelling, punctuation, and grammar
  • Stylistic and formatting consistency: capitalization, hyphenation, abbreviation, use of proper names, paragraph indentation, font size, and more…
